Donald Avock Pelam Yavit appointed as Vanuatu’s Consul General to Sydney, Australia

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and External Trade (MoFAICET) has appointed Donald Avock Pelam Yavit as the Consul General of Vanuatu to Sydney, Australia. Pelam’s responsibilities include promoting trade, tourism, education, and investment opportunities between Australia and Vanuatu, as well as promoting bilateral friendship, cooperation, and mutual understanding between the two countries. He will also provide consular services to Vanuatu citizens in Sydney and work with relevant agencies to establish networks for negotiations to bring assistance to Vanuatu. Pelam has over 20 years of experience and has served as the Trade Commissioner to Sydney, Senior Trade and Marketing Officer, Acting Director of Tourism, Acting Director of Public Health, and Executive Officer at various ministries. He holds a Bachelor’s in International Business Management and is completing a Masters in International Trade online
